New Duffy 16’ electric boat launched in Port Stephens
Port Stephens is a beautiful waterway just a few hours North of Sydney. Most of the bay offers protected calm cruising waters, surrounded by nature and teeming with fish and dolphins. No wonder that one local resident was keen to explore her beautiful surroundings in comfort and style in a brand new Duffy 16’ ‘Back Bay’ electric boat.
The 16 footer is the smallest in the range of Duffy electric boats, but that doesn’t mean it compromises on comfort. Seating 8 people comfortably and fited with plush upholstered seating, a stereo system, lights and in-built ice box it’s the perfect craft for floating picnics. The 10kWh battery bank offers up to 7 hours running time at cruising speed of around 4 knots, enough for a full day out on the water. This new Duffy electric boat was launched early June in the tranquil waters of Lemon Tree Passage, the first of its kind on the local waterways!
The Duffy 16’ ‘Back Bay’ weighs 950kg and is a very stable boat with a cruising speed of 4 knots and top speed of 5.2 knots. It can be trailered or kept on the water.
