New! Solbianflex solar panels for classic racing yacht

We’ve recently had the storm of the century here in Sydney and some of our clients’ boats suffered minor damage, such as 30 square metre ‘Larool’ which was in need of some new flexible solar panels.

Larool was fitted with a 48V electric inboard drive system back in 2010 and has for all these years mostly relied on two flexible Solbianflex solar panels to keep the batteries topped up when she’s parked on her swing mooring. Today she was fitted with two new SP50L panels, generating close to 100watts of energy under ideal conditions. The panels are so light and small that they can be strapped on top of the sail bag and easily be removed and placed down in the boat when she’s going out for a sail.

It’s the perfect way to keep boat batteries in a healthy state, whether it’s for your electric propulsion battery bank or your starter- or house-batteries. Contact us to find out more!
