The Torqeedo Cruise outboard is the perfect electric motor for larger tenders and displacement boats (such as small yachts) up to 4 tons.
Torqeedo Cruise 2.0 is comparable to a 6HP petrol outboard (in thrust).
Torqeedo Cruise 4.0 is comparable to a 10HP petrol outboard (in thrust).
Both versions can be easily mounted on your boat’s transom with minimum tools required.
The Torqeedo Cruise 2.0 / 4.0 has been developed to meet the demanding challenges of every day commercial use, making them ready to take on the harshest environmental conditions. Even more rugged than the earlier version in the event that it runs aground and even better protected against corrosion when used extensively in salt water.
The Cruise outboard is fully waterproof (IP67 rated) and is available in tiller or remote steering version. It comes with an integrated GPS information system providing information on speed, battery status and remaining range – all displayed on a screen integrated in the tiller or in the remote throttle.
Despite its exceptional power, the Torqeedo Cruise 2.0 and 4.0 remains lightweight at only 16/17 kg.
The Cruise outboards need external batteries to operate.
The Cruise 2.0 needs at least one Torqeedo Power 26-104 Lithium battery or a 24V lead-acid battery bank.
The Cruise 4.0 needs at least two of Torqeedo Power 26-104 Lithium batteries or a 48V lead-acid battery bank.
The size/capacity of the battery bank depends on the speed and the range you require.

*Speed and range depends on type of boat, load and conditions. Data is indicative only and does not represent a legal guarantee.
All Cruise models are suitable for inflatables as well as other small boats. For dinghies and sailboats up to 3 tonnes, we recommend the Torqeedo Cruise 2.0. The Cruise 4.0 easily propels boats up to 4 tonnes.
The on-board computer, which is integrated in the remote throttle with the Cruise R and in the tiller with the Cruise T, analyses information from the motor and combines it with GPS data. Motor consumption and GPS speed are always exact. When the Cruise is operated with the Power 26-104, the information on the battery and on range with remaining capacity is also exact because both products communicate with each other.
Yes, but with limitations. If the Cruise is operated with lead batteries the charge status indicator (and with it the remaining range indicator) is based on estimates derived from battery information entered during initial motor setup.
As a lithium battery, the Power 26-104 provides far greater performance with lower weight than conventional lead batteries. In other words, it does not weigh down your boat unnecessarily – and you benefit in terms of range and power. In addition, the integrated battery electronics of the Power 26-104 are designed to communicate with the on-board computer. This means that the values provided by the battery, such as remaining range and capacity, are always exact.
A Twin Cruise outboard system consists of two Cruise models (2.0 R or 4.0 R) and the Twin Cruise extension set, which also contains a dual throttle and tie bar. The tie bar is used to connect the two Cruise outboards to the same steering mechanism. The standard Twin Cruise mounting assumes a transom width of at least 76 cm.
The Cruise models both have a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase for non-commercial use.
